Nur ad-Din was born when the Crusaders from Europe had invaded Palestine and occupied Masjid Al-Aqsa. The European Crusaders were robbing Muslim lands, were violent and killing innocent people.
Nur ad-Din started the defence against the Crusaders, by educating the people, uniting the Muslims and raising a strong army.
